Welcome to Waypoint Wellness Collective

Waypoint Wellness Collective is a space for those who have been carrying heavy emotional weight and are ready to begin setting it down. Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, unsure of who you are, or simply longing for a change, counselling here offers a grounded and compassionate space to begin. You don't need to have everything figured out. You just need to be willing to start.

This practice is rooted in the belief that healing happens when we are truly seen and heard. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, grief, identity questions, and life transitions, offering an approach that is honest, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and somatic tools, our work together is centered on your unique story. You can expect a space to build coping strategies, reconnect with your values, and move toward lasting, meaningful change at your own pace.

Whatever you're holding, you don't have to carry it alone. You are welcome here, just as you are.

Who I Am / About Me

Hi, I’m Austin Berardi (he/him), a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) offering virtual and phone-based counselling throughout British Columbia. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and bring a grounded, compassionate presence to the work I do.

At the heart of my practice are two values I hold closely: genuineness and curiosity. I believe meaningful change begins in a space where you can be fully yourself, seen, heard, and supported without judgment. My style is relational and down to earth, guided by your pace and what matters most to you.

I often draw from Narrative Therapy, CBT, and a strong belief in the mind body connection. These approaches help us explore the stories that shape how you see yourself, make sense of what has been difficult, and reconnect with your strengths and values.

I work with youth and adults navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, self esteem challenges, and that stuck, restless feeling that is hard to name. Many of the people I support are thoughtful and reflective, often seeking deeper insight into long held patterns. Together, we explore what healing can look like on your terms.

Clients describe me as calm, open, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space that feels safe, warm, and collaborative, where curiosity is welcome and you do not have to carry everything alone.

If something here resonates, feel free to reach out for a free consultation. Whether you are new to therapy or returning to it, I would be honoured to connect with you.

Specialties and Areas of Expertise

I support youth and adults who are navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, low self esteem, or that restless, stuck feeling that is hard to put into words. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and introspective, often carrying a lot internally, and looking for a space where they do not have to hold it all alone.

Some of the areas I work with most often include:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Grief and loss
  • Feeling stuck or emotionally overwhelmed
  • Life transitions and identity exploration
  • Self doubt and low self esteem
  • Burnout and compassion fatigue
  • Boundaries and people pleasing
  • Relationship and attachment patterns
  • Mind body connection and emotional awareness
  • Personal growth and values-based living

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I draw from Narrative Therapy, CBT, and person-centered principles, always adapting to meet your needs and pace. I also bring in trauma informed and somatic awareness to help clients tune into what their bodies might be holding onto beneath the surface.

I'm currently completing additional training to become both a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP), deepening my ability to support clients through trauma, relational concerns, and emotional healing with care and nuance.
